photo advise

i have tons of pictures from trips overseas, mostly in 2000 & 2001, for school that i never put into photo albums. now i'm wondering what the best way to get them scanned/online without a scanner is. do places like cvs do that for you? i really want to get them on a zip drive or similar format.
any techies out there have suggestions? also, it'd be great if it's not too expensive either.

while not the best quality, i just used my digicam to take a pic of the photo. its a bit of work to make sure you get the right lighting so as to not get a glare from the paper photo, but WAY faster than scanning! hope that helps!

thanks for the advice! my digicam kinda stinks, but maybe s's is good enough for it. i've got about 2000 (2k) photos at least. lots of time.
